Our humble story begins in Birmingham, Alabama, where our founder, Andy Pitts, grew increasingly frustrated with the subpar service, concealed fees, and burdensome contracts offered by payment companies to his clients. In the fall of 2000, he embarked on a mission to revolutionize the industry from the core by establishing his own independent sales organization(ISO), MLS Direct Network. MLS Direct's business model stood in stark contrast to the industry's norms: it prioritized the agents (the "little guys") by granting them the lion's share of commissions, focusing on exceptional customer service, ensuring that the phone was always answered promptly, and eliminating lengthy, nearly impossible-to-escape contracts. Over the following two decades, this seemingly unorthodox approach would catch the attention of businesses and sales agents across the country, earning MLS a coveted spot among the "Nilson's Top 50 ISOs Nationwide." As time passed, they consistently climbed the ranks, reaching the top 40, the top 30, and beyond.

In 2016, MLS embarked on a significant transformation by relocating to tech-friendly Austin, Texas, and renaming to Titanium Payments. This change was not merely to prevent real estate agents from confusing us with the wrong "MLS," but also to signify the start of a profound evolution for Titanium. Andy recognized the rapid shifts in the industry, as it gravitated toward a technology-first model fueled by fintech innovation and groundbreaking technological advancements.
